Barton Corbin Knew Murder Victim Harriet Gray

Harriet Gray aka Harriett Gray, age 56, disappeared from Tucker, Georgia on September 8, 1996. Her decomposing body was found
floating inside of her car with her "hands duck taped to the steering wheel."

As of 2006 the police no longer consider Barton as a suspect in her case. Ann Rule said she still has questions about these other two women: "Corbin was not a suspect in [Gray's and Land's] deaths. But how many men know four women that have disappeared and have been murdered?

Tidbits
The car was either a 1989 Toyota Camry or a Nissan Maxima.

Dorothy Hearn: Murder Victim

Dorothy Hearn knew Barton Corbin in dental school. In 1990 after breaking up with him, Corbin killed her and made it look like a suicide. She was found with one gun shot wound to the head and a gun lying nearby. However, Dorothy's family and close friends all suspected Corbin. No one believed that she had killed herself. According to everyone that knew her, she had a beautiful personality, and she was very sure of herself. A trait that Barton Corbin would not have been used to seeing in the women that he normally dated.

Barton Corbin Knew Mary Lands

shown above: Mary Lands and her fiancee Christopher Luke Pratt

Mary Lands, 39, is another woman that Ann Rule mentioned in her book who was a very close friend of Jennifer and Barton. She was last seen leaving her apartment on a Winter night in Michigan in 2004. Her body has never been found, and family members continue to hold vigils periodically.

Most likely Corbin is not responsible for Mary Lands' disappearance.
One inmate stated that Corbin said that "he didn't kill her." Interestingly, Mary Lands fiancee is in prison for an assault on another woman. He was also the last person to see her leaving her apartment that Winter night to go for a walk, but never returned home. Her parents Anita and Cliff Marshall continue to keep her memory alive.
